Specimen #009 – Canary & Marigold is a study in luminous yellow — a full marigold bloom in pale lemon enamel, its gold stamen crown set with three opalescent crystals, faces a tiny yellow duckling with a single red crystal eye. The open gold band between them is hammered to a soft texture that catches light like rippled water.

The marigold is fully dimensional, its petals layered and gently curled at the tips. The duckling opposite is rendered with charming precision — a creature entirely at home in this garden, gazing at the bloom with small, shining eyes. Together they speak of summer mornings that lasted only an hour.
